J.D. Power: 2018 Acura ILX Has Best-In-Class Initial Quality

By Justin Cupler | June 23rd, 2018

Here at Acura of Rochester, there is no need to convince us the 2018 ILX is high quality, but there’s nothing wrong with a little reassurance. That’s exactly what J.D. Power has given us with its announcement that the 2018 Acura ILX is tops in its class in initial quality.

Every year, J.D. Power sends Initial Quality Surveys to car owners who have owned their new car for at least 90 days. The survey gives owners the opportunity to tell J.D. Power what has gone right and wrong with their new vehicles. J.D. Power then gathers all the information and gives each vehicle a rating between one and five.

On this scale, the 2018 Acura ILX received a perfect five out of five, putting it at the top of the small premium car class.

This is no surprise to us as every Acura model that rolls off the production line is a quality vehicle, and we pride ourselves in delivering outstanding after-sales service.

The 2018 Acura ILX gains a new Special Edition trim that includes the A-Spec package’s 18-inch wheels, side sills and rear spoiler, as well as JewelEye LED headlights, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a multiview rearview camera, automatic headlights, a power moonroof, Bluetooth, a 5-inch multi-view display, keyless entry and ignition, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, and more.

The 2018 ILX continues with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower. This engine pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers power to the front wheels.
