2019 Acura ILX Gets a New Look and Tech
The Acura ILX remains one of the most popular luxury sports sedans on the market, and it’s about to get better in 2019. The 2019 Acura ILX will get an updated look and a ton of new technology to make it safer and more user-friendly.
Starting with its updated looks, the 2019 Acura ILX is all-new from the A-Pillar forward. The big updates include the new Diamond Pentagon Grille, seven-element Jewel Eye LED headlights, and sharply sculpted hood. Around back, the 2019 ILX features a new deck lid, updated fascia, LED taillights, and lower diffuser with updated exhaust outlets. There are also new 17- and 18-inch wheel designs.
Inside, the 2019 ILX gets a few visual updates. These include restyled seats with standard driver’s side power-adjust lumbar, silver dashboard trim, a chrome dash insert, and a machine-finished push-button start.
In addition to the wide range of safety features the Acura ILX already features, like Advanced Compatibility Engineering, stability control, traction control, and Expanded View Driver’s Mirror, the 2019 ILX will gain standard AcuraWatch. This one-time option adds automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, road-departure mitigation, and lane-departure warning.
The final key update for the 2019 Acura ILX is an updated dual-screen On Demand Multi-Use Display interface. This system boasts an enhanced 7-inch touchscreen that responds 30 percent faster. This system also includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2019 Acura ILX’s pricing is not available yet, but it will be available here at Acura of Rochester in October 2018. Check back for details.
