The 2019 Acura MDX is already in showrooms, but we’ve all been waiting for the new MDX Sport Hybrid to arrive. Well, the wait is over as the 2019 MDX Sport Hybrid is in our showroom now with a few updates. Here are all the details on it.

The 2019 Acura MDX will roll into showrooms boasting the same 3.0-liter V-6 engine and the Sport Hybrid three-motor system that injects a healthy 321 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque — a 31-horsepower gain over the conventional MDX. On top of the extra power, the MDX Sport Hybrid also gets 26 mpg city, 27 highway, and 27 combined, according to EPA estimates, beating the conventional MDX by 6 mpg city and 4 mpg combined. This power will route through a seven-speed automatic transmission on its way to all four wheels.

Like the rest of the 2019 MDX lineup, the Sport Hybrid model will come standard with AcuraWatch, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, road-departure mitigation, lane-departure warning, and more.

While most of these details are the same as the 2018 MDX Sport Hybrid, there are some updates to the 2019 model. These include new high-contrast stitching on the seats and door panels, new interior wood trim, four-way lumbar control in the front seats, 12-way adjustable front seats, and four new exterior colors: Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic, and Gunmetal Metallic.

The 2019 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid with Technology Package starts from $52,800, which is only a $1,500 premium over the standard MDX SH-AWD with Technology Package. Moving into the MDX Sport Hybrid with Advance Package pushes the price to $59,550. This prices do not include tax, tag, dealer fees, and the $995 destination fee.
